There are (open ear) skateboard helmets that can be bought for under $10, or you can spend $30+ on an accurate full cut one. This can easily be the most expensive part of the costume, but like any costume, it just depends on how accurate you want to make your costume.

The closest match is a painted Pro Tec Full cut helmet, which is an old school style skate helmet with vented ear coverings, making it slightly harder to hear and slightly pricier than the open ear alternatives used in the majority of costumes.
